The Wisconsin Romance Writers of America (WisRWA) is the Wisconsin chapter of Romance Writers of America®. It was established in 1984 as a professional, non-profit support group for published and aspiring writers of romantic fiction.
WisRWA provides encouragement, industry and marketing information, and educational and critique opportunities to all writers of romance fiction.

Local support group. WisRWA holds regular area meetings in Madison, Milwaukee, Greater Green Bay Area, and Chippewa Falls.
Reduced fees to the annual conference, workshop and writing competitions for both published and unpublished writers.

Founded in 1981, Romance Writers of America® (RWA®) is a national non-profit organization of published and unpublished fiction writers and related professionals. With over 8,000 members located world-wide, RWA® offers many benefits and services:
- A monthly magazine focusing on the business and craft of writing, including current market information
- An annual conference offering workshops, editor/agent appointments, networking with other writers and the annual RITA® and Golden Heart® awards ceremony.
- Professionally judged contests for published authors (the RITA®) and unpublished writers (the Golden Heart®), both highly regarded by the publishing industry.
- A professional relations committee that services members in dealing with problems in the publishing area.
- Special interest chapters.
- Official RWA®-sponsored web site and email discussion groups.
WisRWA membership is open to any RWA® member in good standing and costs $25.00 per year. Please refer to the web site of Romance Writers of America® for up-to-date information and an on-line membership appication.
WisRWA has members in all stages of writing, from beginners plotting their first novel to seasoned, prize-winning authors.
Prospective members are welcome to attend an area group meeting. You may attend two meetings as a guest before making your decision to join.

Annual dues are $25.00, renewable on August 1st of each year. Make check payable to WisRWA. Contact the WisRWA Secretary at bethwatson@wi.rr.com for the current mailing address and, new members, to receive a prorated membership dues amount.
