The
war made him a man-the battle of Shiloh made him a hero-the
notorious Union "Death Camp" made him a killer.
Forced
to fight his own fellow prisoners in a "gladiator-like"
fight to the death contest for the entertainment of the camp
commanding officer, the one they called "Shiloh"did
what he had to do to stay alive.
The
Civil War ended; but not for Shiloh. The war-and the nightmares
that haunted him-- would never be over until his sworn enemy,
colonel Sam Mattox, the camp commander, paid with his own blood
for the seven men Shiloh had been forced to kill.
The
hunt led Shiloh into the depths of Mexico where he was to learn
new truths about death-and life-and love-and himself. In an
obscure little village called El Agua Dios-God's water-Shiloh
came face to face with the reality of God, found peace for the
turmoil inside himself, and finally put an end to the war.
