The Regency Email List

In the years since its creation the Regency Email List has grown beyond my wildest dreams. Unfortunately, it is due to this growth that it has become necessary to close the list to new members and start a waiting list for anyone who wishes to join.

Below you will find an application for membership. Please fill in all the fields! After you've completed the application, click on the "submit" button and it will automatically be forwarded to me. Once I've received your application and determined that you meet the requirements (listed below), I will add your name and email address to the waiting list.

Due to the list's popularity, only a few members every month or so choose to stop their subscription. However, it does happen. When a current member unsubscribes from the list, the open slot will be filled with a name on the waiting list.

The wait to become a member of the Regency Email List can take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months, sometimes longer. Once you have filled out the application and your name is on the waiting list (I will send you a form email to confirm this fact), please do not email me asking when a new slot will open! I simply do not have time to host the list and write my books, plus continually reassure people they are indeed on the waiting list; if you receive an email confirmation, you are.

List Requirements

Before filling out the form below, please be sure
you meet the List Requirements!

Direct questions to the Regency Email List Host:

Temporary List Host:

Read the following carefully; if you do not meet the requirements or do not agree to abide by the list rules, please do not apply to join the list.

  1. New subscribers to the Regency Email List must either have one or more Regency books in print and published by a paying, offline publishing house or be actively engaged in writing and submitting a Regency period novel for publication. Due to the nature of the list, first priority will be given to published authors.

  2. All subscribers must promise not to quote entire posts in their replies. Some quoting is allowed; quoting entire posts and especially entire digests in your reply is not. This rule helps keep the list manageable and posts organized; it is especially helpful to digest subscribers.

  3. All subscribers must promise to use accurate subject lines in their posts. It is common courtesy and allows all members of the list to be able to pick and choose accurately which threads of discussion they wish to follow.

  4. Differences of opinion make for lively discussions. Flame wars do not. Disagreeing with an idea is acceptable, attacking a person is not. Courtesy is the rule at all times on this list!
-- List subscribers who participate in or instigate flame wars will be immediately removed from the list!
* List members who do not abide by the above rules, especially after repeated warnings, will be removed from the list and will not be invited to rejoin.
